If you were absent on Friday, I collected the following:

  • The open-ended prompt (where you wrote an open-ended prompt for practice)
  • Your quote from a favorite work of choice should you be able to use it on the AP exam.
  • ***Both of these can go on the same piece of paper.

Friday's Lesson: Click on the link below and free-write for 3 minutes on each category in the Power Point. We listened to music and did this. Each category is a theme in the play. Do not worry about grammar.

Homewor

1. Choose a novel or play that you would love to be able to use as your work of choice on the AP exam, and write an open-ended prompt for that particular work as well as a memorable quote that you feel you could easily memorize.
Be ready to share both tomorrow!

2. Create an Open-Ended Prompt Placemat (Just like your poetry one) that the class will use to help them write their open-ended prompt essays. The best one will receive extra points towards a low scored assignment.

Happy Wintery Wonderland to you! What fun it's been to enjoy time in the snow with family; I hope you have had a relaxing, fun time in the snow with no accidents or issues.

I am sure it's no surprise that you would be asked to finish A Doll's House over the weekend and be prepared to quiz or discuss it when you return (Monday perhaps? perhaps not?)

Enjoy your weekend,

Ms. Johnson
